 Prof Baumberg is a leading researcher at the University of Southampton, UK.
He also directs the recently opened NanoMaterials Rapid Prototyping Facility and the NanoMaterials Forum at the University of Southampton, which stimu-late novel Nano-research across interdisciplinary boundaries
The focus of his research is on NanoPhotonics, producing new sorts of Nano-Materials in which the interaction of light and matter is completely altered. As well as traditional tools for building nanostructures, he has developed a new range of self-assembly and nano-templating techniques which allow cheap nanostructures to be made in large quantities.
