Basic Purpose
Contribute to the understanding and advancement of basic and applied research
in nanomaterials for solar energy by conceiving and executing experimental research
projects and reporting the results.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Considerable
Expertise in synthesis and characterization of semiconductor nanocrystals. Considerable
skill in research facilities and techniques needed for Argonne programs, understanding
scientific concepts and synthesizing results, written and oral communication,
good skill interacting with colleagues. This level of knowledge and skill is
achieved through attainment of a Ph.D. in chemistry or materials science. Must
have demonstrated outstanding promise as a research scientist. Also required
are demonstrated motivation, energy, and ability to originate, carry out, and
publish significant original research.
