Requires a Ph.D. in physics, chemical engineering or materials science. Solid background in computational/theoretical soft condensed matter, strong research record and proficiency in MC/MD simulations are expected. Experience with high performance/parallel computing is beneficial. The successful candidate will work in the young and very dynamic field of soft/bio nanomaterials, which is one of the strategic directions of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The position will provide an exceptional opportunity for research in this field, with opportunities for collaborations with leading experimental and theoretical groups. This work will be conducted under the direction of A. Tkachenko, in the Theory and Computation Group of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials.
