Dyesol Limited, a leading
dye solar cell materials manufacturer, has signed an agreement with
Sigma-Aldrich®, a leading life science and high technology
company, for Sigma-Aldrich to distribute Dyesol’s range of dyes for Dye
Solar Cells.
Ruthenium-based dyes are one of the three critical chemical components required
for the manufacture of Dye Solar Cell (DSC) products. Dyesol is recognised around
the world for being able to manufacture these dyes with the highest degree of
quality control and reliability plus top performance characteristics.
“With the capability that Sigma-Aldrich has to effectively market and
sell worldwide, we are pleased to be a supplier to the company’s first
promotion of dye solar cell materials,” said Sylvia Tulloch, Managing
Director at Dyesol Industries. “This agreement is a win-win, as it opens
up markets for Dyesol’s high performance dyes to a user community that
has a long history of trust in the integrity and quality service that Sigma-Aldrich
supplies. In addition, the agreement provides Sigma-Aldrich an opportunity to
service the rapidly growing market place for DSC materials. I believe this agreement
could be the start of a very important, long-term relationship for Dyesol that
will ultimately benefit the scientific community.”
Dr. Yanek Hebting, Materials Manager at Dyesol, added: “Dyesol’s
investment to expand the team's scientific and support personnel, as well as
the addition of new high quality facilities, provides us with the right tools
to ensure that Sigma-Aldrich’s demands for quality, performance, and reliability
can be met.”
