Former HP Exec To Run Oregon Nano Center - News Item

A former Hewlett-Packard executive is to lead Oregon’s first micro and nanotechnology research center.

Robert "Skip" Rung has been appointed to set up the center in donated space on HP's Corvallis campus. Branches are planned for Oregon State University, University of Oregon and Portland State University.

The center is to concentrate on the development of multiscale materials and devices such as miniature heat pumps and microcombustors and higher capacity computer chips.
