Nano-Tex Named 2003 Nanotechnology Company of The Year - News Item

Smalltimes magazine has named textiles company Nano-Tex the 2003 Company of the Year. North Carolina-based Nano-Tex nanotechnology enhanced textiles that are stain-proof, wrinkle-free, absorbent, more comfortable and odour-free.

International brands using fabrics from Nano-Tex include Levi’s, Lee, Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY and Benetton.

Other finalists included:

BEI Technologies Inc., manufacturer of MEMS gyros and sensors
FormFactor Inc., which makes wafer probe cards to test memory, microprocessors and other semiconductor devices
NanoOpto Corp., developer of nanoimprinting technology for telecoms
Obducat AB, Swedish nanotech toolmaker and market leader in Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL), next-generation nanoimprinting tools
