| Atlanta Chemie AG have formed an exclusive global partnership with Nanophase Technologies Corp. As part of the arrangement, Atlanta Chemie have invested US$10 million in Nanophase Technologies purchasing a 7% stake. Together, they intend to co-develop paints, coatings and plastics and expect to introduce their first products to the market during 2004. These products will utilise nanotechnological developments with target areas including: - General industrial coatings
- Architectural coatings
- Coil coatings
- Automotive OEM and refinish coatings
- Printing inks
- Duroplastics and thermoplastics
- Consumer goods packaging
- Electrical insulation applications
The agreement between the two companies will provide Atlanta Chemie exclusive rights to Nanophase’s technology for 8 years. |
