Nanosys Chooses ISE TCAD Software for Nanotechnology Modelling - News Item

Integrated Systems Engineering (ISE) announced today that Nanosys, Inc. has purchased its device simulator DESSIS and process simulator FLOOPS-ISE.

Nanosys specializes in nanotechnology, which relates to structures typically less than 100 nanometers in size. By using DESSIS and FLOOPS-ISE, Nanosys is investing in tools for its development of nanotechnology.

"We are very happy to have selected ISE TCAD to explore novel applications of next-generation nanotechnology based devices," said Dr. Wally Parce, Nanosys's Chief Technology Officer.

DESSIS is the leading 1D, 2D, and 3D device simulator in the semiconductor industry. It contains a comprehensive set of physical models that apply to all relevant semiconductor devices and operation conditions.

FLOOPS-ISE is a highly flexible multidimensional process modelling environment. With its modern software architecture, it constitutes a new tool generation and a solid base for future process simulation. FLOOPS-ISE offers unique predictive capabilities for modern technologies.

Dr. Lars Bomholt, ISE's Vice President Applications, added, "We are pleased to have Nanosys as a customer. It shows yet again that our products are invaluable tools for the investigation of nanodevices."
