Biophan To Participate In SDForum's Session, `Nanotechnology & Biotechnology - The Next Wave'

Biophan Technologies, Inc. an innovator, developer and marketer of MRI-related and other advanced biomedical technology, announced today that it will present at SDForum's Nanotechnology Series. Michael Weiner, Biophan's CEO, will present at the session entitled, "Nanotechnology & Biotechnology - The Next Wave," on Monday, April 19, 2004, at the George E. Pake Auditorium, located at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), in Palo Alto, CA.

Biophan's technologies include filtering, shielding, coating, imaging, and photonic solutions to both MRI safety and MRI image compatibility. NanoView, Biophan's newest technology, is intended to utilize nanomagnetic particles as contrast agents that preferentially bind to tissues of diagnostic interest, creating improved detail and contrast in images. Mr. Weiner will give an overview of this recently developed technology and other nanotechnology capabilities that may influence the biomedical device industry in the near future.
