The halcyonics_i4 is a state-of-the-art active vibration isolation system, which is ideal for isolating highresolution measurement equipment from building vibrations. It is equipped with accelerometers to sense the incoming vibrations at the top plate. The sensor signals are transformed into a countersignal by an electronic circuit. This signal drives electro-magnetic actuators to generate a counterforce for actively compensating the vibrations. The active isolation is effective in 6 degrees of freedom. A major advantage is the lack of a low frequency resonance, which is a frequency where passive isolators amplify vibrations instead of isolating them. There is no compressed air supply needed to operate the i4. AC power from an electrical outlet is sufficient. Main features are the automated transport locking mode and fully automatic load adjustment which makes the handling extremely straightforward. It takes only a few seconds to start up the halcyonics_i4.
