The ergonomically designed workstations are a combination of an active vibration isolation system and a welded support frame perfectly matched to this system. They are ideal for the use with inverse light microscopes with SPM composition, patch-clamp set-ups, etc. An advantage of this all-in-one solution is that the user can sit in front of the application and use the surrounded nonisolated surface as an arm rest or for other equipment. The steel frame is essential to ensure a stable support structure and thereby the optimal working conditions for the isolation system. The active isolation is effective in six degrees of freedom, thus the system isolates in horizontal and vertical direction as well as rotational and tilt movements. Electro-magnetic actuators generate a counterforce for the active compensation of the incoming vibrations, measured by the sensors of the system. With its automatic transport locking and load adjustment mode, the workstation is ready to operate within a few minutes. There are different standard versions available, as well as customized workstations with an active isolated surface of more than one square meter.
