Agilent/Varian Cary 50 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer from Conquer Scientific

This Agilent/Varian Cary 50 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer available from Conquer Scientific is an affordable and award-winning system. It features an innovative design and includes a Xenon flash lamp. The system is in excellent condition and provides a number of benefits over conventional UV-Vis spectrophotometers.

The new Cary WinUV software, which controls the spectrophotometer, has a modular design which makes it quite user-friendly. Additionally, a wide range of accessories are available to equip the Cary 50 for additional capabilities.

Key Features

The product features of the Agilent/Varian Cary 50 UV-Vis spectrophotometer are:

  • Measures samples up to 3 Abs and eliminates sample dilution
  • Highest scan rate is 24,000 nm per minute; this means users can scan the entire wavelength range of 190-1100 nm within 3 seconds.
  • Data collection rate of 80 points per second; users can obtain the required data on kinetics assay
  • Uses beam splitter without any energy loss; beam splitter enables concurrent reference beam correction and hence peaks will not change when the scan speed changes
  • Xenon lamp flashes only when attaining a data point, unlike diode arrays which degrade photosensitive samples
  • High-concentrated beam makes it suitable for fibre optic work
  • Unaffected by room light
  • Narrow and intense light beam
  • Dell computer with WinUV software

Hello, I would like to use this Instrument for absorbance measurements with a solid sample, a filter (1cmx1cm) is this possible? I have read on the Manual that there is a Solid Sample Holder available.

    Thank you
