Zetasizer Nano from Malvern Instruments
This video demonstrates the Zetasizer Nano series from Malvern Instruments. The Zetasizer Nano can measure the molecular weight, the particle size and the zeta potential of a sample. It is widely used in characterizing nanoparticles and biomolecules.
The Zetasizer Nano uses a non-invasive back-scatter light scattering (NIBS) technique to characterize proteins with molecular weight as low as 342 Da and a laser Doppler velocimetry and M3-PALS (phase analysis light scattering) technique to measure the zeta potential and a dynamic light scattering detector to determine the particle size.
