Barrier Properties of Polypropylene Nanofibers Using ForcespinningĀ® Technology from FibeRio Technology

The use of nanofibers has faced many challenges such as low volume, high cost, and environmental issues by means of traditional technologies such as electrospinning.

The purpose of this video is to show the barrier properties of Melt spun Polypropylene Nanofibers using Forcespinning® Technology. First, a regular spunbond scrim is used as a control and it's shown that it can take very little water pressure. Next, a layer of Polypropylene Nanofibers using Forcespinning Technology is placed on top of another spunbond of the same kind. You will see how the water pressure resistance increased dramatically.

You can now reduce the basis weight of the fabric and save on raw material costs while achieving better performance and better permeability. Contact Fiberio Technology Corporation to learn more about Forcespinning technology for high volume nanofiber enhanced products.
