Measurement of Temperature with a Thermocouple from Agilent
In this video Bill Griffith, application engineer of Agilent Technologies explains the measurement of temperature with a thermocouple. Thermocouples are temperature sensors, which is made up of two dissimilar metals. A small voltage is created by these metals is proportional to the temperature gradient.
A relative measurement is made using thermocouple. These are used with the reference junction to get an absolute measurement.
