to the company's Board of Directors.

Eric M. Ruttenberg, 53, serves as Co - Managing Member of the General Partner
of Tinicum Capital Partners II, L.P., a New York based investment firm, that
holds a significant interest in Cymer. Mr. Ruttenberg also currently serves
as a director of several of Tinicum's privately held portfolio companies. Mr.
Ruttenberg has previously served on the boards of several public companies,
namely SPS Technologies and Kollmorgen Corporation.
