NanoDynamics, Inc. has announced
it will present on the application of nanotechnology in water
purification at the 2008 NanoBusiness Alliance conference, May 4-6 at
the Marriott Marquis Time Square in New York City. Gary
Krall, NanoDynamics V.P. and general manager, will address the
conference audience Tues., May 6 on the advanced capabilities of
nanomaterials in ensuring a reliable source of water for the
future. He will additionally discuss near-term opportunities
for nano-enabled commercial products and technologies that directly and
indirectly affect the availability of water for potable, agricultural
and industrial use.
“Water, like energy, is in sharply escalating demand
as the world continues to develop and advancement brings a greater need
for it across a widening scope of applications,” said Keith
Blakely, NanoDynamics CEO. “As the timeframe is
truncated for us as a global community to find long-term, viable
solutions for the impending water shortage, we must look toward the
advanced solutions offered by nanotechnology in addressing this issue
today.”
The 2008 NanoBusiness Alliance conference will speak to
nanotechnology’s key role in several high-growth areas,
including clean energy and water filtration, advanced materials,
next-generation electronics, medical diagnostics and pharmaceuticals.
It will feature presentations by executives from businesses in each of
these areas and explore a broad range of issues related to
nanotechnology and investing, commercialization, economic development,
environmental, health and safety, and global opportunities.
