Soligie and Blue Spark to Jointly Develop Thin Battery Technology

Soligie, a market leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of Printed Electronics, and Blue Spark Technologies, a leading developer of flexible, printed power source solutions, announced today that they have entered into an agreement for the joint market development of Blue Spark’s thin battery technology and Soligie’s printed electronics capabilities. The Companies anticipate that this agreement will lead to a manufacturing collaboration for roll-to-roll volume production of Blue Spark batteries.

Product developers and manufacturers are concerned with global trends of portability, interactivity, product safety, security, and environmental impact. These trends are driving companies to seek out new technologies and cost-effective solutions that can help them bring exciting products to market faster with more functionality.

Printed electronics are increasingly utilized in product innovations including interactive product labels with iconic displays, smart medical patches, functional electronic devices, sensors, and radio frequency (RF)-enabled tags. Many of these products need a safe, affordable and eco-friendly power source. By combining Soligie’s proprietary printed electronics design and manufacturing processes with Blue Sparks’ power solutions, brand owners will be able to offer their customers a new level of value and function in their products.
