QD Vision, nanotechnology-based
products for lighting and displays developer, today announced the addition of
Frank Hillery, VP, Finance, and Matt Mazzuchi, VP, Market and Business Development
to the company’s management team.
Hillery and Mazzuchi have extensive experience in advanced lighting and displays.
Prior to joining QD Vision, Hillery was VP, Finance at Color Kinetics, where
he played a key role in both the company’s initial public offering and
$790 million sale to Philips. Mazzuchi joins QD Vision from Luminus Devices,
where most recently he was General Manager and Vice President, Sales for the
display business group, and led the commercialization effort for LEDs in display
systems.
“Frank and Matt bring critical experience to QD Vision as we deliver
to market our first products in solid-state lighting,” said Dr. Dan Button,
President and CEO of QD Vision. “Both played key roles at technology-leading
companies in the lighting and display industry and we look forward to them helping
drive QD Vision’s growth.”
Hillery has also held financial management roles at other high-growth technology
companies and was a Senior Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mazzuchi’s
experience includes VP, Sales at Luxim Corporation, as well as a senior level
product line manager at the OCLI Products division of JDSU. Mazzuchi has had
extensive experience in Asia building long term commercial relationships, and
securing design wins in the consumer electronics and display industries.
QD Vision recently announced its first product with Nexxus Lighting, an LED
lamp that integrates a Quantum Light™ optic with cool white LED’s
to produce color-rich, true- incandescent, warm white light. The lamp is expected
to be three times more efficient and last up to 25 times longer than comparable
halogen lighting alternatives.
