Diamon-Fusion International,
Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of patented
hydrophobic nanotechnologies, announced today the exclusive application of its
patented nano- coating product to a large-scale glass restoration project by
one of the world's most famous historical auto museums, the Nicolis Museum of
Cars, Technology and Mechanics, a spectacular and ultra-modern container of
culture and ideas in Villafranca near Verona, Italy.
Through collaboration with DFI's strategic partner, AKTARUS GROUP and
GRUPPO INDUSTRIALE TOSONI (GIT), Diamon-Fusion® has been specified to be
fashioned at this project as a valuable low-maintenance, clean tech feature
to reduce on-going cleaning costs. DFI's eco-friendly nano-coating also
eliminates the need for harsh chemicals thus creating a greener environment.
The oversized, curved and flat glass panels are treated and restored with the
patented Diamon-Fusion® nano-coating, creating a water repellent effect
which enables ease of cleaning and protection against scratches, abrasions,
and environmental elements.

The museum housing the collection by creator Luciano Nicolis provides an impressive
architectural structure with free sections: the rooms can be modified freely
to the functional needs of the museum exhibition. The large glass facades bring
the right amount of light into the inner spaces of this modern building, while
the articulation of the building and its orientation allows a continuous change
of perspective during the approach and the possibility of having the front façade
from different vantage points. All of the glass facades are being restored and
treated with the innovative protective nano-coating through DFI. The museum
hosts autmotive works of arts that include world's reknown makers such as Maserati,
Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Bugatti, Lancia, BMW, Benz, among others.
“The Nicolis Museum restoration project is one of several DFI has currently
underway around the globe,” stated Guillermo Seta, executive director
of DFI Global Operations. “World-wide, organizations and companies are
seeing the benefits of this value-added coating feature to restore, maintain
and protect these amazing architectural works of art. We are pleased to partner
with these leaders in this innovative field aimed at protecting and restoring
these architectural masterpieces.”
"This project symbolizes both the great benefit of adding Diamon-Fusion®
as a key low-maintenance feature to the glass facades of such an extraordinary
'container of automotive culture', as well as the great collaboration we have
with Gruppo Industrialle Tosoni, which certainly goes beyond this single project",
said Paolo Spinelli, Managing Director of Aktarus Group.
