Agar Scientific
announce that their German partners in microscopy, Kleindiek Nanotechnik, will
be giving two presentations at MicroScience 2010 on June 29th.
Kleindiek Nanotechnik will present talks on June 29th at MicroScience to describe
their instrumentation for micro- and nano-positioning & measurements. With
miniaturisation in semiconductor technology, optics, micro-mechanics, medicine,
gene- and bio-technology, highly precise positioning techniques are becoming
increasingly important. Kleindiek is focused on providing complete and innovative
solutions for each market segment whether these are in research or industry.

Dr Stephan Kleindiek will discuss in situ force measurement over nine orders
of magnitude. Piezo resistive cantilevers are used in combination with precise
manipulators with resolutions of 0.25nm, the measurement of forces as low as
1nN is possible.
Dr Andrew Smith will talk about versatile solutions for TEM sample preparation,
manipulation at the micro and nano scales and electrical probing in situ. The
techniques deliver high sample throughput by employing dedicated tools in the
shape of small, load-lockable platforms holding all necessary components for
the application.
Both Drs. Kleindiek and Smith will also be available on the Agar Scientific
stand, J6, to talk with microscopists about their applications and answer questions
on how Kleindiek Nanotechnik may deliver solutions through standard or custom
products.
