Diamon-Fusion International,
Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of patented
hydrophobic nanotechnologies, announced today the completion of its largest
all-glass vapor chamber, certified and implemented by DFI in Spain for its licensee
CRISTEC VIPLA S.L., a highly-reputable Cataluña-based company dedicated
to the fabrication and processing of a wide-range of glass products reaching
a diversity of market segments, including aluminum, PVC, furniture, and other
industries.
The chamber utilizes the patented hydrophobic nanotechnologies in a proprietary
nano-surface chemical vapor deposition chamber coating system designed to maximize
the large scale production capabilities to apply the patented Diamon Fusion®
coatings.

Different from the hand-applied coatings, the chamber allows for multiple pieces
to receive the uniform coating in a single application, providing a more efficient
process for large scale coating projects. During the chemical vapor deposition
process, the nano-coating is introduced into a process chamber through vapor
source and reacted at a certain temperature and pressure. The desired thin coating
film is deposited onto the glass panels inside the process chamber. The thickness
and composition of the coating can be controlled by the vapor concentration,
temperature, and pressure. DFI has a number of chemical vapor deposition chambers
throughout the world, with this particular chamber being one of very few fashioned
mostly as an all-glass modular.
CRISTEC VIPLA S.L. is a company dedicated to the world of glass, serving industrialists
and manufacturers in the aluminum, wood and PVC carpentry sectors, among many
others. In 1988, the company started to produce and distribute double-glazing,
monolithic glass and laminated glass. CRISTEC VIPLA S.L. extended its range
of products to manufactured, polished, beveled and acid-frosted glass, straight
or in different shapes, anti-theft glass, bulletproof glass and fluting in various
kinds of glass.
“The DFI chemical vapor deposition chamber system streamlines our coating
capabilities, allowing us to significantly increase our production capabilities,”
said Josep Planes, managing director of CRISTEC VIPLA S.L.. “By adding
this new chamber to our existing manufacturing process, we’ve given our
company a competitive advantage, unmatched in our industry", added Josep
Planes.
“The turn-key reliability and cutting edge solutions acquired from this
chamber process translate into high-volume production, accelerating the go-to-market
timeline, adding considerable value to our customer” stated Guillermo
Seta, executive director of DFI Global Operations.
For over a decade, Diamon Fusion® International (DFI Nanotechnology), a
California-based and privately-held US company, along with its research team
have produced and distributed variety of products designed for the restoration,
protection and maintenance of silica-based surfaces, such as glass, granite,
tile, porcelain and quartz. The breadth of DFI's product offering ranges from
award-winning and patented, professional quality products only available through
authorized distributors (licensees) to easy-to-use highly-effective, do-it-yourself
products for consumers. Through consistently introducing innovative products
and educating the industry on the benefits of surface coating technologies for
glass and glass-like surfaces, DFI has become a worldwide leader in coating
products and services. DFI has representation and distribution centers in North
and South America, Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
