The NanoBusiness Alliance, the world's leading nanotechnology
trade association, today announced keynote sessions scheduled for the
premiere of their newest conference, the Nano Renewable Energy Summit,
being held July 20 - 22 at The Cable Center at the University of
Colorado. The event will gather world-renowned experts at the
intersection of renewable energy and nanotechnology, with a specific
focus on the business, commercialization, and economic development
potential of emerging technologies in the renewable energy and
sustainability sectors. Complete event information can be found at http://www.nanoenergysummit.com.
Topping the keynote roster at the Nano Renewable Energy Summit
will be Colorado Governor Bill Ritter; the Honorable Rodney Slater,
Former U.S. Secretary of Transportation; Matthew Nordan, President of
Lux Research; and Sean Murdock, Executive Director of the NanoBusiness
Alliance.
The event will also present a special keynote panel featuring
Mark Modzelewski, Founder of Bang Ventures and co-founder of the
NanoBusiness Alliance, and Scott Livingston, Managing Director of Axiom
Capital Management/The Livingston Group.
“Skyrocketing energy prices are being discussed at
the kitchen table, at the diner, at the country club and at the pump.
Although this is clearly one of our nation’s most critical
issues, nanotechnology presents a real opportunity to develop
sustainable, renewable energy sources. It’s green,
it’s clean, it’s never seen –
that’s Nanotechnology,” said Vincent Caprio, Vice
President and Event Director, NanoBusiness Alliance.
“We’re proud to welcome our distinguished panel of
keynoters to our premiere event to discuss these opportunities with our
attendees.”
The Nano Renewable Energy Summit is being produced by the
NanoBusiness Alliance and co-hosted by the Colorado Nanotechnology
Alliance in conjunction with the Golden, Colorado-based National
Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Partners and sponsors include the
NanoBusiness Alliance, Colorado NanoBusiness Alliance, NREL, Colorado
Office of Economic Development & International Trade, Patton
Boggs, and the University of Denver.
