In the September'08 there was a solemn startup of the first unique nanotechnological
facility of the new generation, produced by NT-MDT
Co., NanoFab 100, in the Taganrog Technical Institute of Southern Federal
University. The startup was timed to the grand opening of scientific educational
centre "Nanotechnology" in TTI SFU.
NanoFab 100 is the platform of nanotechnological facilities assigned for the
implementation, research and small-scale production of nanoelectronic, micro-
and nanomechanic elements. The facility installed in TTI SFU presents the new
generation of NanoFabs with the cluster integration of technological modules
according to their functional specifications, and it has analogues neither in
the Russia nor in the world.
The specialists of NT-MDT Co. held a workshop "NanoFab 100 -- automatized
facilities for implementation and production of nanoelectronics" during
the grand opening of SEC. During the workshop the lectures were given on the
subject of applied and fundamental capabilities of the new technology for the
creation of nanostructures and technological achievements of the nanoelectronics
production facility of the new generation.
Many VIP participants attended the grand opening: representatives of academic
and educational institutes of Russia and CIS (Russian Research Center "Kurchatov
Institute", Southern Federal University, etc.), core industrial organizations
(Public corporation "Research institute of molecular electronics and "Micron"
plant", Public corporation "Research institute "Tantal",
Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, etc.), experts in the field of microelectronics
and nanotechnology as well as persons from Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don (deputy
of the Head of Administration of the Rostov Region, mayor of Taganrog).
The opening of SEC and the workshop served as the ground for the far-going
conversations of the administrative representatives of the state organizations
and experts in the field of nanotechnology and microelectronics.
