Early in December'09 the most significant and unique event - Nanotechnology
international forum, organized by the Russian corporation of nanotechnologies
(RUSNANO), - took place in Moscow. Over 7000 visitors attended the Forum within
three days. At the same time an exhibition of the advanced nanotechnological
developments was held, where the projects of 80 Russian and foreign companies
and organizations were displayed.
Included among the guests were a number of representatives of the government
authorities, world nanoindustry, famous scientists, entrepreneurs.
NT-MDT
equipment and technological developments aroused a keen interest of the visitors.
The platform of nanotechnological facilities NanoFab 100, intended for the creation
of nanoelectronic and nanomechanic elements, was represented to Sergei Ivanov,
the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Andrei Fursenko,
the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Chubais,
Director General of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO), and
other representatives of the government delegation. It was observed that NT-MDT
was the leader in the development of such facility, which can be important for
competitive recovery of advanced domestic technology products in the world arena.
Also the probe nanolaboratory NTEGRA Spectra, dedicated to investigation in
the field of nonlinear optics, NTEGRA Life, meant for molecular and cellular
biology researches, SOLVER NEXT, SPM with full automation, NanoEducator, scientific
training laboratory of nanotechnology, were highly appreciated.
The panel discussion “Business and nanotechnologies” was held on
the 3rd of December within the framework of the Forum program, where NT-MDT
general director Viktor Bykov took part together with ?leksey Mordashov (Severstal,
Russia), Mikhail Prokhorov (ONEXIM Group, Russia), Viktor Avdeev (Unikhimtek,
Russia), Uwe Kruger (Oerlikon, Switzerland), Jong Min Kim (Samsung Electronics,
Korea), Kemp Owen (Hewlett Packard, USA).
A number of agreements have been concluded following the results of meetings:
the protocol of intentions between FEI (USA) and NT-MDT, by which the joint
production of electron microscopes will be provided in Zelenograd; the agreement
with Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), whereby joint developments in the
field of molecular electronics will be coordinated. In addition, business relations
with outstanding West-European vendors of component parts for nanotechnological
equipment have been established.
There is no doubt that holding the Forum has been imperative for all the innovative
and high-tech sectors of domestic industry. As the active participation of NT-MDT
has shown, our company is in the vanguard of global nanotechnology. We believe
that the company will maintain the highest tempo of scientific researches and
continue to create cutting-edge equipment, which will be used by domestic enterprises
and scientific centers.
