NVLS) announced today that it has received a "Best in Value" supplier
award from Samsung Electronics at their Supplier Appreciation Day, held in Santa
Clara, California on September 16, 2009. The "Best in Value" designation
is the highest honor bestowed by Samsung on a supplier. Presented by Yoon-Woo
Lee, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics to Richard S. Hill, chairman
and CEO of Novellus Systems, the award recognized Novellus for its outstanding
support and contribution to the success of Samsung's semiconductor business.
In presenting the award, Samsung specifically noted how Novellus has improved
the overall productivity of the suite of semiconductor manufacturing tools it
supplies to Samsung by increasing system throughput, decreasing total cost-of-ownership
(COO), and reducing system energy costs.
