Olympus America's Tech Tours Program Heading Towards University of Alabama-Huntsville

Olympus America's Tech Tours program is coming to the University of Alabama-Huntsville this week. Tech Tours is a series of educational events where researchers and engineers interactively learn from leading experts in industrial research and technology and is centered on materials research, 3D imaging, roughness analysis, inspection and measurement. The upcoming event is open to the public and will be held at the University of Alabama-Huntsville campus in the Optics Building, Room 103 on November 17, 2009 from 9:00am to 5:00pm CST, November 18, 2009 from 9:00am to 5:00pm CST and November 19, 2009 from 9:00 am to 5:00pm CST. David Rideout, Product Manager for Metrology from Olympus America Inc. will speak on "The Advantages of High Resolution Confocal Microscopy and Metrology".

In addition to offering industry speakers, Olympus will display a series of microscopy, imaging and metrology systems for in-depth demonstrations. Attendees are encouraged to bring samples for on-site analysis. Olympus technical experts will be on hand to discuss solutions to specific application requirements. Images and measurement data can be downloaded to attendees' USB flash drives as time allows.

The Tech Tours series is part of a multi-year commitment by Olympus to bring thought leaders and advanced technology for industrial science to researchers, engineers and students across the United States.
