Microfluidics
(OTC Bulletin Board: MFLU) has partnered with ATS Scientific, Inc. (Burlington,
Ontario) to be the exclusive distributor of Microfluidizer high shear fluid
processors and related services throughout the majority of Canada. ATS, which
recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary as a nationwide distributor of
scientific equipment, maintains a portfolio of synergistic products, including
HORIBA particle size analyzers.
"We are very pleased to welcome ATS to the Microfluidics family,"
said Brian Ayling, Regional Sales Manager at Microfluidics. "Microfluidics
has always had a strong presence in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada. ATS
will join Garland Technical Services, which represents the greater Vancouver
area, to work with scientists on the new generation of smart materials that
is a focus of Canadian researchers. "
In addition, ATS will manage importation logistics and CSA certification relevant
to Microfluidics technology.
"Adding this well-established line of high shear fluid processors to our
portfolio allows us to provide a more complete solution to solve processing
challenges for customers," said Gilles Groulx, National Sales Manager at
ATS Scientific. "We see great synergy with our existing products in material
handling and processing which will create excellent cross-marketing activities
and even more choices for our clients."
To add focus to this expanded product range, ATS has promoted Joseph Emili
to Product Manager focused on material processing and characterization.
