Cambridge NanoTech Sells First ALD System to KBSI in Korea

Cambridge NanoTech, the world leader in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), today announced that they have sold their first ALD system into Korea. The Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) is Korea's premier research facility that shares its state-of-the-art research equipment and laboratories to promote the development of science and technology through research support and cooperation.

"Cambridge NanoTech is looking forward to working with KBSI on their advanced ALD research," said Ray Ritter, Cambridge NanoTech COO. "We are excited to continue expanding our customer base into new locations and adding Korea to the list of the many countries using Cambridge NanoTech systems for their ALD research and development."

Savannah™ ALD System

To support the growing Korean ALD market, Cambridge NanoTech has recently partnered with Korean distributor, SJ International. "Cambridge NanoTech ALD systems have an outstanding technical and support reputation parallel to none," said Shon B. Lee, President of SJ International. "We are pleased that SJ International will be representing Cambridge NanoTech in Korea," said Mr. Lee.

KBSI will be using the Savannah™ ALD in their research of applications that use ceramic substrates coated with aluminum oxide and zirconium oxide films.

The timing of this sale couldn't have been better. This week Cambridge NanoTech is attending the ALD 2010 conference in Seoul, South Korea, where our scientists will present ALD research on process optimization of low vapor pressure precursors and growth of low resistivity titanium nitride from metal-organic precursors.
