Nano-Miniature Connector Developer to Adapt and Support Neurological Research Groups

Published on February 8, 2011 at 7:14 AM

Omnetics Connector Corporation, the leading manufacturer of miniature high-rel connectors, Omnetics has made it their goal to adapt and support the neurological research groups in hopes of understanding exactly how the brain and peripheral nervous system works, and how Omnetics as a company can support this industry.

From our micros (.050”) all the way down to our nano-miniature line (.025”), Omnetics connectors have proven their reliability with the purpose of lending a hand in hopes of viewing and analyzing the activity that occurs within the brain during a certain activity or behavior.

This year Omnetics took on a very proactive stance in terms of securing these very specialized customers by designing a new “Neurological” option to our current website. The page consists of a new set of standardized part numbers including single and dual row nanos, known to be specific for neurological research programs. Similar to our other standard catalog items, datasheets and material specification will be available for viewing and downloading.

Comment from Derek Hunt, Omnetics Technical Sales, “For Omnetics this will be a great way to test our customer’s response to a particular product dedicated directly to their market. By studying the market trends and analyzing customer feedback, I think we offer a solution that many neuro scientists are in search of, and that is a small, standardized, proven, high rel interconnect solution.”
