NT-MDT Director General Wins UNESCO Awards for Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies

Director General of NT-MDT Co. Victor Bykov has been awarded by the UNESCO medal and a diploma for "Contribution to development of nanoscience and nanotechnologies".

The UNESCO medal "Contribution to development of nanoscience and nanotechnologies" was established on the 1st of March 2010 in the framework of the theme "Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies" in the Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems (EOLSS) published by UNESCO and EOLSS Publishers.

The medal is awarded by UNESCO Director General to representatives of nanoscience and nanotechnologies and scientific and public agencies, as well as politicians that contributed to the development of the above mentioned institutions in the spirit UNESCO's priorities.

Victor Bykov is a Doctor of Engineering and professor of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, laureate of the Award of the Russian Federation Government in the field of science and engineering (2004), author and coauthor of more than 171 research works, including 63 invention applications and patents, President of Russian Society of Scanning Probe Microscopy, President of Russian Society of Nanotechnology for 2010-2011, Chairman of Guild of high-tech enterprises of Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of coauthors and leaders of Russian State program "Molecular electronics".

Under the leadership of Victor Bykov NT-MDT Co. develops and manufactures SPM equipment to study and modify surfaces. Four main product lines have been created: NTEGRA, SOLVER, NANOEDUCATOR and NANOFAB.

The company holds the 2nd place in the SPM global market, and the NT-MDT global market share is 16% (Future Markets Inc., 2011). The success of the NT-MDT Co. has been achieved due to new trends and developments and perfect after-sales service and support.
