Nanovesicles to Combat Multiple Cancer Cells

Bexion Pharmaceuticals has received the Biotech Innovation Award at the Cincinnati USA Innovation Awards program hosted by the Cincinnati Business Courier, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and CincyTech.

The award acknowledges the companies and people who turn concepts into fuel for the Tri-State (Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana) economic program.

According to Dr. Ray Takigiku, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bexion, cancer diagnosis and therapy needs more research and innovation. He also said the BXQ-350 nanovesicles being developed by his company will shift the paradigm approach to cancer treatment.

The BXQ-350 nanovesicles could help treat glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. The devices are conducive to the membrane patches existing in various kinds of cancer cells including glioblastoma. Laboratory trials undertaken by the company has revealed that the treatment is effective in combating different kinds of cancerous cells in multiple animal tumors that were cultured in the laboratory test tubes.
