Industrial Nanotech, a developer of nanotechnology-based energy efficient systems, recently declared that its distributor, Russo Environmental Materials, has concluded a program for the Lafayette Consolidated Government in Louisiana using the company’s patented Nansulate Translucent GP and Translucent PT insulation coatings at the Animal Control Center to insulate the envelop of a building used to shelter animals in its care. The solution reduced the internal temperatures.
According to Francesca Crolley, vice president of business development for Industrial Nanotech, this development has led to discussions with the Lafayette Consolidated Government for further projects in an endeavor to enhance government energy savings. Russo has also incorporated the coatings in offshore platforms to insulate pipes and equipment and render them resistant to corrosion. The anti-corrosive feature of the solution that is resistant to mold growth ensures their suitability for coastal and offshore conditions.
