Shrink Nanotechnologies Partners Japanese Company for Retailing Corning Modular Microfluidic System

Shrink Nanotechnologies recently signed a multi-phase joint venture agreement with a Japanese company that deals with industrial and consumer electronics and optic solutions that has a facility for its biological equipment in Salzburg, Austria.

According to the terms of the agreement, both the companies will jointly develop the Corning platform, while the Japanese company will also offer its design and production expertise to enable commercialization of a modular microfluidic and interconnect systems for use in life science applications.

Mark L. Baum, chief executive officer at Shrink expressed that they were glad to partner with a renowned global corporation for marketing the Corning modular microfluidic platform. The Japanese company develops bioengineering solutions for companies such as Shrink and are committed to developing and introducing novel consumables for specific applications in life sciences. Since they are a well-known player in the consumer electronics field, they are well-equipped with diverse capabilities for the production and design of high precision mass volume plastic consumables.
