Graphene Laboratories to Relocate to Larger R+D Facility

A Massachusetts high-tech start-up company, Graphene Laboratories, Inc., announced it will move to new expanded R&D facility at the Stony Brook University Incubator in Calverton, NY, as of Aug 1, 2011. Graphene Laboratories, together with its business partner, Long Island-based CVD Equipment Corp. (NASDAQ: CVV), has a record of leadership in graphene materials, a critical thrust area in material sciences and nanotechnology. In addition, research projects of Graphene Laboratories Inc. are supported by the Center for Functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Discovered less than 7 years ago, graphene has quickly become a "miracle material" as it is praised by the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics. Its applications seem almost endless, from flexible touchscreens and a new generation of computers to transparent military aircraft and ultrasensitive biosensors. The worldwide interest in graphene materials by both academic and industrial researchers is overwhelming. www.graphene-supermarket.com, operated by Graphene Laboratories, is a leading source of graphene materials serving more than 1000 customers in over 70 countries.

The Stony Brook Incubator, devoted to commercialization of new technologies, has been the launching pad of many start-ups, and is known for playing a critical role in their success. As a part of the Stony Brook University high-tech cluster, Graphene Laboratories will enjoy advice and assistance from other entrepreneurs, Small Business Administration and of Stony Brook University. The facilities at the Incubator are sure to be state-of-the-art, a much needed asset for businesses attempting to stay ahead of the technological curve. The benefits lie in a unique atmosphere that helps inventive businesses to prosper.

Dr. Elena Polyakova, CEO of Graphene Laboratories, Inc., commented, "We are greatly excited about new business opportunities created by our relocation to Long Island. Our new expanded R&D laboratory, access to the state-of-art nanofabrication facility at BNL, and proximity to our strategic business partner, CVD Equipment Corp., will allow the company to address rapidly growing demand in graphene materials and products. Furthermore, having the integrated sales, and manufacturing teams together in Long Island, NY will enable us to better and faster cater to the needs of our clients as well as to work on complex joint R&D projects." We strongly believe that with a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work, Graphene Laboratories will have a bright future at the Stony Brook Incubator.
