Fiabila Continues Utilization of NaturalNano’s Halloysite Nano Tubes

New York-based NaturalNano that specializes in proprietary processes for extracting naturally occurring nanotubes and nanomaterials and refining them for use in a variety of applications, has bagged the first order for 2012 from nail polish manufacturer Fiabila for its Halloysite Natural Tubes (HNT).

Fiabila uses HNT as a key component in its nail polish products that are sold across Europe and USA. It has signed a three year extension with NaturalNano for the license and exclusive supply of HNT for use in Fiabila’s nail-care products. These nail-care products are being retailed at various leading outlets such as Walmart, Target and Walgreens.

NaturalNano always strives for identifying commercial applications for its nano products. The company’s CEO, James Wemett, stated that the continued use of its HNT by Fiabila is an acknowledgement of their satisfaction with NaturalNano’s HNT.

NaturalNano was founded in Rochester, New York in 2004. The company holds 20 patents and applications pertaining to Halloysite nano tubes, its applications and its derivatives. The patents also cover the company’s know-how for extraction and refinement of the tubes for various applications. The company is currently concerned with plastic additive technologies. Its proprietary product Pleximer finds application in plastics, composites and polymers.
