The Centro de Investigación Cooperativa CIC nanoGUNE and the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) are organizing the TNT2012 Trends in Nanotechnologies International Conference, which will be held from today to 14th of September at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales in Madrid, along with other relevant entities in the field of nanosciences, like the Fundación Phantoms.
The conference, celebrating its 13th edition, will offer an ample range of presentations on the latest research in nanoscience and nanotechnology and will count on the presence of entities in charge of designing public policies like the European Union.
33 presentations will be given during the conference, given by experts in nanotechnology from Japan, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and Argentina among others. Daniel Sánchez Portal, researcher at the Centro de Física de Materiales (CFM), will give one of the conferences.
TNT2012 will be a meeting point for entities in the industrial, academic and governmental worlds to share objectives and find avenues of commercialisation for recent discoveries in the world of nanotechnologies.
José María Pitarke, director of CIC nanoGUNE, and Pedro Miguel Echenique, president of the DIPC, are part of the TNT2012 Organizing Committee. Andreas Berger and Emilio Artacho, Director of Research and Director of the Theory Group of CIC nanoGUNE, respectively, are part of the event's International Scientific Committee.
