Heidelberg Instruments, a world leading manufacturer of Laser Lithography and Maskless Aligner systems, is proud to announce that it has won the 2013 International Prism Award for Photonics Innovation in the category of Manufacturing for its µPG501 Maskless Aligner System.
The µPG501 is a Table Top Maskless Aligner System introduced in January 2012. It is Heidelberg Instruments newest addition to its lineup of tools for Direct Write Patterning. The µPG501 is designed to deliver high performance at an affordable price. It is the perfect solution for prototyping of various devices such as MEMS, integrated optics, micro fluidics, and Lab-on-a-Chip.

The Prism Awards is an annual award presented by SPIE and Photonics Media in 9 categories that honors the best new photonic products on the market . Winners are chosen amongst the finalist by a panel of judges who are also outstanding contributors to photonics research and technology. The winners will be announced on Wednesday 6 February at a gala ceremony held during SPIE Photonics West 2013.
