1550nm Photon Counting

Offering a unique combination of high quantum efficiency, wide dynamic range and ease of use for photon counting applications, the COUNT® Q from LASER COMPONENTS provides everything needed for free-running photon detection from 950 - 1600nm.

These modules combine low noise InGaAs/InP single photon avalanche photodiodes with specially developed quenching and processing electronics to deliver a powerful solution to detecting photons beyond the visible part of the spectrum.

The COUNT® Q demonstrates typical timing resolution of 350ps, very low afterpulsing probability and dead-times in the range of 0.1 to 5µs - perfect for applications in quantum optics/cryptography, characterisation of fibre optics, time correlated single photon counting (TCSPC), florescence life time spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
