Nanotechnology Laboratory Evacuated After Chemical Accident

Students have been evacuated after an incident in the nanotechnology labs at the University of Texas at Arlington.

The incident occurred around 7.30pm on Tuesday with one student overcome by fumes. The student was treated at the scene and later released. The incident is beleived to have occurred when a student inadvertantly mixed hydrochloric acid with sulphuric acid. The resulting fumes set off laboratory alarms.
