Dynamics Nanotechnology (ODN) has been involved in nanotechnology research
since 2000 and successfully launched a consumer product in 2005 utilizing nanoparticles
incorporated into thin
films less than 100 nm thick. The nanoCLEAR
coatings are nanomaterial / polymer based liquid chemistries that are targeted
at optical applications. This technology was a winner of a 2006 Nanotech Briefs
Nano50 award. These coatings
can be tailored to increase, decrease or shape the transmission or reflectance
from the UV to the IR spectrum.
Dynamics Nanotechnology chemistries provide a high degree of control over
the refractive index and they have advantages in cost, ease of use, and curing
speed and durability over conventional thin
film coatings. Incorporating nanoparticles into the polymer matrix allows
the refractive index and the mechanical properties to be engineered for specific
applications including optical
thin films, without affecting the clarity of the coating.
By utilizing metal oxides with refractive indices ranging from 1.46 to 2.7 (with
Mohs hardness of up to 9) unique coatings
are available in a wide range of refractive indexes. Our engineers and scientists
have extensive experience in thin
film multi-layer coating development.
Dynamics Nanotechnology will develop a system to meet your unique requirements
using proven nano-based
thin film coating materials. We also have a highly flexible, pc based, coating
system that can be used to develop and apply multi layer thin
film coatings. These systems are for sale for use in research and small
scale manufacturing applications.
