Company Background
SunFlake is developing a new generation of solar cells based on
a novel shape of semiconductor nanostructures (NanoFlakes).
The patent pending nanostructures can eliminate the need for a
lattice-matched substrate as well as the need for a clean solar
grade substrate.
The only purposes for the carrier substrate are to allow for the
growth of the nanostructures and - when the solar cell is
operating - act as a contact to the light absorbing nanostructures.
