Company Background
Åmic was founded in 1998 to commercialise a pioneering technology for mass production of high-precision low-cost microstructures in plastic. The company grew organically on revenue generated from contract development & manufacturing services offered to a range of top-tier international telecom & biotech companies.
In 2003 Åmic refocused its business on the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) market. The company has developed the Forecast Technology for the next generation of diagnostic tests. The technology will allow truly quantitative tests in a near-patient or POC setting and considerably simplify central lab systems.
