Introduction

This article describes the range of graphene films on polyethylene terephthalate polymer (PET) available from Graphenea. These films include monolayer graphene on PET (10mm x 10mm) - Pack 4 units, monolayer graphene on PET (25mm x 25mm), and monolayer graphene on PET (4" wafer).

Monolayer Graphene on PET

Graphenea’s monolayer graphene on PET is grown by means of a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process on a copper foil, and later transferred to PET through a wet transfer process.

These graphene samples are available in a pack of 4 10mm squares (Figure 1), or a single 25mm square (Figure 2). Their size and exceptional quality makes these products ideal for universities and research and development departments.

Monolayer Graphene on PET (4" Wafer)

Similar to other graphene films, this product includes a single layer of graphene film (Figure 3) produced through by the CVD process and transferred to a round substrate of PET measuring 175µm thick using a wet transfer process.

This product sets a new standard in the graphene market, with its high quality and standard wafer form factor making it ideal for research and development into graphene-based devices.

Features of Monolayer Graphene Films

The key features of monolayer graphene films are as follows:

  • Appearance (color): Transparent

  • Thickness (theorical): 0.345nm
  • FET electron mobility on Al2O3: 2000cm2/Vs (FET electron mobility is 2800cm2/Vs for monolayer graphene on PET (25mm x 25mm)
  • Hall mobility on SiO2/Si: 4000cm2/Vs (Hall mobility is 3500cm2/Vs for monolayer graphene on PET (25mm x 25mm)
  • Sheet resistance: 580±50Ω/sq (1cm x 1cm)
  • Grain size: Up to 10µm
  • Thickness of PET substrate: 175µm

Quality Control

All samples supplied by Graphenea go through a meticulous QC process to make sure that the graphene produced is of high quality and has good reproducibility. Each individual sample is examined by Raman spectroscopy (I(G)/I(2D)<0.5; I (D)/I(G)<0.05) and optical microscopy techniques to ensure high transfer quality and purity.
