Samsung Launches Nanotechnology Equipped Health Products In Middle East - New Product

Samsung Electronics, has launched its nanotechnology equipped range of health conscious refrigerators and washing machines in the Middle East.

The sophisticated appliances use sterilizing nanotechnologies to eliminate 99.9% of Staphylococci and Escherichia coli.

Although low temperatures in refrigerators slow the growth of bacteria, it cannot eliminate it. The technology used by Samsung coats the interior of the appliances with nano-sized silver that has a combined action of sterilisation, antibacterialisation and deodorisation. When bacteria, viri and fungi come into contact with the silver nanoparticles, cellular respiration and metabolism are retarded and the cell is prevented from growing.
