Cypher AFM for Rapid Scanning of Celgard Sample in Tapping Mode

This video shows how the Cypher AFM from Asylum Research quickly scans a Celgard sample. This unique material is made by stretching isotactic polypropylene and is best scanned in tapping mode. The topography includes sections with drawn fibrils, which are freely suspended. Lighter tapping promotes a slower cantilever response and therefore a fast Z actuator and a fast cantilever are required for this sample.
