MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. (NYSE:WFR) , a leading provider of silicon wafers and North America's largest solar energy services provider, has received the Supplier of Excellence award from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The award was presented on December 4 during TSMC's annual supply chain management forum in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
In a press release announcing the award, TSMC CEO Dr. Morris Chang cited technology leadership and manufacturing excellence as strengths of the company and attributed strong supplier partnerships as a key to its success.
