Olympus America Inc. continues to build its industrial instrument distribution network, naming Hitschfel Instruments, Inc., to handle distribution of Olympus industrial microscope products in central and southern Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and greater Memphis.
The largest and most advanced microscope sales organization in the region, Hitschfel has its headquarters offices, a warehouse, a service facility and a showroom in St. Louis; it also has satellite locations in Tulsa, Kansas City, Little Rock and Omaha.

In addition to expanding its distribution network with several new dealers this year, Olympus continues to grow in other ways. It has recently introduced a new flagship industrial product, the LEXT OLS4000® laser confocal microscope. Further, the company has built its existing nationwide support and service network with new personnel, features and enhanced availability and response times.
