MEMS Patents Purchased by Acacia’s Subsidiary

Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTG) announced today that a subsidiary has acquired MEMS patents from a leading research institute.

The patented technologies generally relate to microelectromechanical systems known as MEMS and can be found in devices such as pressure sensors used in automotive, medical and industrial applications.

“Acacia’s leadership position in patent licensing continues to generate opportunities for revenue growth as research institutes and universities are increasingly selecting us as their partner for the licensing of their patented technologies,” commented Paul Ryan, Acacia Chairman and CEO.
