NanoHorizons to Participate in Eco-Textile Conference and Expo

NanoHorizons Inc., a leader in the creation of nanoscale antimicrobial performance additives for the textile, health care, and coatings and plastics industries, will participate in The Green Event Conference + Expo at the Millennium Hotel in New York City, September 18-19. NanoHorizons executives will be available to meet with conference participants in the Expo Hall in Galley 8 of the Millennium Hotel.

“We are very interested in meeting with textile products manufacturers and retailers who feel as strongly about the environment as we do,” says Dr. James Delattre, NanoHorizons’ VP Global Marketing. “As conscientious scientists and corporate citizens, we are committed to developing responsible products and manufacturing them in ways that do not harm the environment or the people who interact with them. At The Green Event Expo, we look forward to meeting new business partners who share that dedication with us.”

NanoHorizons’ SmartSilver is a certified, EPA-registered antimicrobial performance brand for a unique line of nanoscale silver additives the company manufactures. The nanotechnology behind SmartSilver protection results in silver molecules that bond permanently to fiber and don’t wash out or wear off of fabrics and textile products. In addition, these additives are manufactured responsibly in an energy efficient facility without the use of volatile organic chemicals.

NanoHorizons is currently applying for ISO:9001 registration. In addition, the company is working with the International Oeko-Tex Association to develop appropriate testing for this new textile additives category in order to secure Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification for SmartSilver.
